· Redesigning rover wheel to improve skid-steer mobility using angled grousers, testing in simulant simulation (Project Chrono).
· Aligning lunar regolith simulant simulation with real simulant (GRC-1) using rover wheel test bed.
· Designed parametric study in SolidWorks to develop array of models to complete simulation and testing.
Redesign and Prototype Fabrication | Sterling Engine | UW-Madison January 2024 - May 2024
· Utilized manual Mill, Lathe, and CNC to fabricate a sterling heat engine in a 6-week timeframe.
· Conducted loss studies using MATLAB and physical testing to identify component improvements in friction and heat transfer.
· Improved efficiency of engine from 120 RPM to 210 RPM (75%) with a 36 F temperature difference in 6 weeks.

· Led team of 4 senior engineers to enhance the efficiency and tunability of the continuously variable transmission.
· Solved chronic overheating problem of the CVT during endurance races by implementing water cooling system, utilizing an Arduino to detect temperature, activating a pump to spray water at the secondary sheave.
· Redesigned CVT components to manufacture on 3 axis CNC mill, and CNC lathe to allow for fully custom CVT.
· Led team of 15 engineers to design and manufacture the front suspension and steering of a mini-Baja car.
· Designed components using SolidWorks modeling and FEA, machined using lathe, mill and CNC, and assembled on car.
